Dear SLCD Richmond Hill Parents,

On behalf of the School for Language and Communication Development, its Administration, Board of Directors and Staff, I would like to welcome you and your families. As always, I am excited and enthused to begin another year as Principal of our Richmond Hill High School. As many of you know, I have been working for SLCD for the past four years. Mrs. Lauren Leonardi and Mrs. Joanna DiGianni began their second year as administrative and curriculum specialists. They both have demonstrated a passion for improving the quality of instruction delivered to your youngsters. I wish to thank you for providing us with support and giving us the opportunity to have an impact upon your youngsters. This year more than 130 students will be in attendance at Richmond Hill.

At SLCD Richmond Hill we provide all students with a well-rounded curriculum that is not only aligned to, but also surpasses New York State Standards. Ours is an academic program, in which resources are provided to all youngsters with high expectations for success.

Close cooperation between home and school is an essential ingredient for academic and social growth. I encourage all parents to become involved in our SLCD activities. Our pedagogical and therapeutic professionals maintain a secure and nuturing environment as well as a respectful community of learners. Together, with our dedicated team of PTFA volunteers and with the support of our SLCD Administrators and Board of Directors, we invite you to join in our journey and to become part of your child's educational experience at SLCD Richmond Hill.
