SLCD's All for Kids Montessori Extended Day Program is the newest design in our 21 years of providing excellence in educational services for preschool and school age children. We offer a specialized and a unique educational program for typical learners which caters to a vast variety of needs for both children and parents.

MISSION STATEMENT

Through the philosophy of All for Kids and the methodology of Dr. Maria Montessori, our program offers a solid foundation for cognitive, social, emotional and physical learning through a child's environment. We call this "the prepared environment" because it fosters "freedom within structure".

PROGRAM FEATURES

Practical Life:
Students are exposed to activities that give independence and control over their own lives. These activities provide the students the ability to develop concentration, attention to detail and self confidence by developing strategies in learning how to understand and manage their learning.

Sensorial:
Students explore activities that involve dimension, shapes, colors, textures, weight, smell, taste, pitch and their relationships to each other. This enables the child to continue their development of abstract thinking processes. Sensory materials encourage the development of fine and gross motor skills, visual and auditory processing, memory, attention and concentration.

Language:
An enriched preschool curriculum which includes music, art, social studies, literature, language arts, science, reading and writing enhances the development of language Our teachers are trained to reinforce language development and utilize language enhancing techniques for all learning.

Math:
The Montessori mathematical process isolates each concept and introduces it to the child in a concrete form using manipulative materials. The student progresses from the concrete introduction to the more abstract concepts.

• Toddler Program: focuses on creative experiences, movement to music, floor activities, eye-hand coordination and play enrichment.
• Preschool Program: provides a variety of learning activities centered around a weekly theme. Each activity is designed to foster early literacy skills as well as individual expression.
• Elementary Program: offers a stimulating environment which supports academic learning. Because every child is unique, we tailor our teaching styles and activities to suit the aptitude and preference of each child.
