TIEGERMAN NAMED AS FINALIST IN
7th ANNUAL LONG ISLAND IMAGINE AWARDS
Long Island Imagine Awards Winners to Be Announced on Tuesday,
April 30, 2019 at the Crest Hollow Country Club
GLEN COVE, NEW YORK – FEBURARY 4, 2019, Tiegerman was named a Finalist in the Certilman Balin Leadership Excellence category in The 7th Annual Long Island Imagine Awards.
The Long Island Imagine Awards was created to offer formal acknowledgement to some of Long Island’s most effective and innovative nonprofit organizations. Last year’s event attracted over 400 attendees from the nonprofit and business communities and an even larger crowd is expected this year.
Winners will be announced LIVE at the awards gala at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Tuesday, April 30 2019. Nominated organizations, their constituents and the Long Island business community are expected to attend.
More than 170 entries were submitted for consideration in 5 categories, including Innovation, Leadership Excellence, Rising Star, Social Impact and Arts & Culture. Tiegerman is one of four finalists in the Leadership Excellence category because of Dr. Tiegerman's extraordinary success.

An effective leader is a person who creates an inspiring vision of the future and then motivates and inspires people to engage with that vision. This is exactly who Dr. T is. Dr. T started the story of Tiegerman, but she has not been the only story teller. If you walk the halls of Tiegerman, see the interaction with the children, the dedication and support provided to the families, and have the opportunity to speak to some of the alumni, you will realize that Tiegerman is a story of hope, inspiration, and success. It’s a generational story that’s been around for more than 30 years, and yet one that is continuing to develop and unfold. Tiegerman explained, “the stronger you are able to communicate your vision and mission, the stronger people connect, and the more it becomes a reality.”
Finalists were chosen by Long Island business professionals during preliminary judging. Members of the Awards' Distinguished Judging Panel selected the Imagine Awards winners from among the Finalists during final judging. “I am humbled to be a part of those chosen to be a finalist,” said Dr. Tiegerman.
“Being named a Finalist in The Long Island Imagine Awards is an important achievement,” said Ken Cerini, Founder of the Long Island Imagine Awards. “It means that the Organization has been identified as a leader on Long Island, exhibiting impactful and innovative operations.
